My Last Trip
Last summer, I had an amazing trip to Beijing, China. It was my first time visiting the capital city and I was excited to explore the famous tourist attractions.
On the first day, we visited the iconic Great Wall of China. It was truly breathtaking to see the long wall winding along the mountain ridges. We walked along a section of the wall and enjoyed the stunning view of the surrounding countryside. The history and grandeur of the Great Wall left a deep impression on me.
The next day, we visited the Forbidden City, which used to be the palace for Chinese emperors. The palaces and pavilions were so beautifully adorned with intricate decorations and colorful paintings. I felt like I was walking through a historical treasure. I learned a lot about China’s rich history and culture from the knowledgeable guide.
Another highlight of my trip was visiting the Temple of Heaven. The temple complex was vast and filled with beautiful gardens. I learned that the emperors used to worship the gods here and pray for good harvests. The stunning architecture and serene atmosphere made it a perfect place for relaxation and reflection.
In addition to the historical sites, I also had the chance to try some delicious local cuisine. Beijing is famous for its Peking duck, and I couldn’t resist trying it. The crispy skin and tender meat were absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed exploring the traditional markets and trying out various street foods.
