Unit 1 of 6th Grade English

Dear diary,

Today, I want to share with you everything I learned in the first unit of English class. The unit was all about introducing ourselves and talking about our daily routines.

In the first lesson, we learned how to greet people and introduce ourselves. We practiced saying phrases like "Hello, my name is…" and "Nice to meet you." We also learned how to ask and answer simple questions about our likes and dislikes. It was quite fun to get to know my classmates better by asking them about their favorite subjects and hobbies.

In the next few lessons, we learned how to talk about our daily routines. We learned how to use words and phrases like "get up," "brush my teeth," "have breakfast," "go to school," "have lunch," "do homework," and "go to bed." It was interesting to learn how different people have different daily routines. Some of my classmates wake up really early, while others stay up late studying.

In one of the lessons, we also learned about telling the time. We practiced saying phrases like "It's half past two" and "It's a quarter to six." It was a bit challenging at first, but with practice, I got the hang of it.

In addition to learning vocabulary and phrases, we also practiced reading and listening skills. We read short passages about daily routines and answered comprehension questions. This helped improve our reading comprehension and vocabulary. We also listened to dialogues and answered questions to test our listening skills.

We also had a lot of fun in class with various activities. We played games like "Guess the Daily Routine," where we had to guess our classmates' daily routines based on clues. We also had group discussions about our own daily routines and shared tips on how to make our routines more efficient.

Overall, the first unit of English class was both educational and enjoyable. I learned a lot of new vocabulary and phrases, and I feel more confident in introducing myself and talking about my daily routines. I am excited for the next unit and to continue improving my English skills.

That's all for now, diary. See you soon!

Yours,

[Your Name]
