Objective:

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to effectively communicate in English by using vocabulary related to daily routines, expressing preferences, and making suggestions. They will also enhance their listening, speaking, and reading skills through interactive and engaging activities.

Materials:

- PowerPoint presentation

- Flashcards with vocabulary words

- Worksheets

- Whiteboard and markers

- Computer or tablet with internet access

Warm-up (10 minutes):

- Begin the lesson by showing a video clip or image related to daily routines or preferences, and encourage students to discuss what they see in pairs or small groups.

- Ask a few students to share their thoughts with the class, and introduce the topic of the lesson.

Vocabulary Introduction (15 minutes):

- Present new vocabulary words related to daily routines, preferences, and suggestions.

- Use flashcards or PowerPoint slides to display the words and their meanings.

- Practice pronunciation and have students repeat the words after you.

- Provide examples of sentences using the new vocabulary.

Listening and Speaking Activity (20 minutes):

- Play an audio recording or video clip of a conversation about daily routines.

- Ask students to listen and take notes on the main points of the conversation.

- After playing the recording, divide students into pairs and have them discuss what they heard and compare their notes.

- Ask a few pairs to share their findings with the class.

Reading Comprehension (15 minutes):

- Distribute worksheets with a short passage about daily routines and preferences.

- Instruct students to read the passage silently and answer the comprehension questions independently.

- Review the answers together as a class to ensure understanding.

Group Discussion (20 minutes):

- Divide the class into small groups and assign each group a different topic related to daily routines or preferences.

- Each group should brainstorm and prepare a short dialogue involving their assigned topic.

- Encourage students to use the vocabulary words introduced earlier in their dialogues.

- Allow time for rehearsal, and then have each group perform their dialogue in front of the class.

Game Activity (15 minutes):

- Conduct a vocabulary game, such as "Charades" or "Pictionary," using the new words.

- Divide the class into two teams and take turns describing or acting out a vocabulary word for their team members to guess.

- Award points to the team that guesses correctly, and keep score on the whiteboard.

Wrap-up and Homework (5 minutes):

- Review the main points of the lesson and ask if students have any questions.

- Assign homework, such as writing a short paragraph about their own daily routine or making a list of preferred activities.

- Highlight the importance of speaking and practicing English in everyday life.

By implementing this interactive and engaging lesson plan, students will have the opportunity to not only learn and practice new vocabulary, but also improve their listening, speaking, and reading skills. Through collaborative activities and games, students will remain active and engaged in the lesson while having fun at the same time.
